Questions people ask
How do I calculate hours worked?
For each day, subtract the start time from the end time and then subtract unpaid breaks. 9:00 to 17:30 with a 30-minute lunch is 8 hours. Add the days together for the weekly total.
What if a shift goes past midnight?
Enter the real end time (for example 02:00). If the end is earlier than the start, the calculator assumes the shift ended the next day and adds 24 hours.
Why show decimal hours?
Timesheets and payroll usually multiply decimal hours by an hourly rate. 37 h 30 min is 37.5 hours. Enter a rate to see gross pay before tax.
Is my timesheet saved?
Yes, in this browser only (localStorage), so you can fill it in over the week. Use “Clear week” or the privacy page to remove it.
